DYSMENORRHOEA (synonym premenstrual syndrome): is characterized for the presence of menstrual pain, with pain in the groin, sometimes painful breast tension, headache and malaise, which typically occur 2-3 days before the menstrual period and the first and second day of the same. It is particularly common in women at a young age. Often women who are suffering from this disease abuse of drugs for pain medications, with all the adverse effects they may entail.
USEFUL PLANTS: Boswellia serrata (Boswellia), Cimicifuga racemosa (Black cohosh), Oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose), Vitex agnus castus (Chasteberry).
