INFECTIOUS DERMATITIS: these skin diseases are caused by bacterial, viral or fungal infections and are characterized by inflammation, swelling, burning and, in severe cases, from collections of purulent material in the concerned areas. USEFUL PLANTS: Arctium lappa (Burdock), Eugenia cariophyllata (cloves), Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea tree oil), Propolis, Thymus species (Thyme).
CONTACT DERMATYTIS: is an inflammatory/allergic disease of the skin characterized by redness, swelling and itching due to contact with foreign substances to which the body is allergic. This trouble is particularly common in the hands because they are most frequently in contact with foreign substances, but can affect any other area of the body.
USEFUL PLANTS: Aloe vera (Aloe) as a gel, Calendula officinalis (Marigold), Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo), Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice), Oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose), Perilla frutescens (Perilla), Ribes nigrum (blackcurrant).
