BRONCHITIS: are diseases favoured by cold weather and caused by inflammation of the bronchia. They are usually caused by bacteria, viruses and fungi, which during the winter can infect the upper airways. Typical symptoms include heartburn, dry cough or sputum, and often fever. Cigarette smoking facilitates the occurrence of bronchitis and aggravates its course.
USEFUL PLANTS: Althaea officinalis (Altea), Echinacea angustifolia or purpurea (Echinacea), Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus), Clove (cloves), Malpighia punicifolia (Acerola), Malva officinalis (Mauve), Olea europaea (Olive), Propolis, Ribes nigrum (blackcurrant), Rosa canina (Dog rose), Thymus species (Thyme), Uncaria tomentosa (Cat’s claw).
