INFLUENZA (synonymous with Flu): is a viral infection that usually affects the respiratory system, very frequent in winter. Sometimes it may take epidemic proportions. In some cases it affects the intestine with the appearance of abdominal pain and watery diarrhoea. The typical symptoms are also high fever, a feeling of profound weakness, poor appetite, colds, cough with or without sputum and diffuse muscle and joint pain. Generally the disease heals spontaneously within a few days.
USEFUL PLANTS: Boswellia serrata (Boswellia), Echinacea angustifolia or purpurea (Echinacea), Malpighia punicifolia (Acerola), Propolis, Ribes nigrum (blackcurrant), Rosa canina (Dog rose), Salix alba (Willow), Uncaria tomentosa (Cat’s claw).
